Ilaria Di Biagio (Florence, 1984) is a photographer and visual storyteller. She grew up in an old country house, where she still lives. She studied Visual Anthropology and Investigative Journalism in Rome, following in the meantime photography courses first in Florence and Rome and then in Denmark, at the Danish School of Media and Journalism (2011). It is here that she started focusing her attention towards a more personal photography, working on projects that involve her in a deeper way. Memories and roots of the past are a common theme in her works, where she mainly investigates the relationship that people have with their environment.
The interest in the survey of the territory leads her to travel thoroughly through Italy and in recent years, to specialize in Northern Europe.
Together with Pietro Vertamy in 2015 Ilaria has created "Around The Walk", a wandering laboratory of visual investigation that combines artistic and cultural projects with the mapping of long-distance original walking routes.
She has published in the major national newspapers - La Repubblica, Io Donna, D, Internazionale etc.
and exhibited her works at the Chobi Mela VII Festival in Bangladesh, at the Copenhagen Photo Festival, in a solo show at the Carillon Gallery in Dallas-Texas, at Perugia Social Photo Fest and in various locations in Italy.
Currently she works as a freelance in Italy and abroad.

Ilaria Di Biagio (Firenze, 1984), fotografa ed artista visiva, è cresciuta in una vecchia casa di campagna, dove vive tuttora. Ha studiato Antropologia Visuale e Giornalismo d’Inchiesta a Roma, seguendo nel frattempo corsi di fotografia prima a Firenze e Roma e poi in Danimarca, presso la Danish School of Media and Journalism (2011). E’ qui che focalizza la sua attenzione verso un’indagine artistica più personale, lavorando a progetti che la coinvolgono da vicino.
L’interesse verso la ricerca del territorio ed alla sua antropizzazione la porta a viaggiare molto in Italia e all’estero.Memorie e radici del passato sono un tema comune nei suoi lavori, in cui indaga prevalentemente il rapporto che le persone hanno col proprio ambiente.
Insieme a Pietro Vertamy, proprio grazie a questa comune passione per l’esplorazione e le arti visive, nel 2015 crea “Around The Walk” laboratorio errante di indagine visuale che unisce progetti artistici e culturali alla mappatura di nuovi percorsi a piedi.

Pubblica sulle maggiori testate nazionali – La Repubblica, Io Donna, Internazionale, D, Marie Claire, Gioia, Bell’Italia, La Nuova Ecologia, ed.Mondadori etc.
Ha esposto al Festival Chobi Mela VII in Bangladesh, al Copenhagen Photo Festival, in una personale presso la Carillon Gallery a Dallas-Texas, al Perugia Social Photo Fest ed in vari luoghi in Italia.

Attualmente lavora come free-lance in Italia e all'estero.
